Dear colleagues,

The World Health Organization’s Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research has been convening a Community of Practice (CoP) on measuring social accountability and health outcomes in Sexual , Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNAH) since 2017. This CoP brings together researchers and practitioners to share research, experiences and supports action research.

The CoP identified a need to document how practitioners responded and adapted to the COVID-19 context and settings. We prepared an online survey for social accountability practitioners and researchers working in the field of SRMNCAH.  The online survey should take between 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Please note that the survey is anonymous and providing email addresses is completely voluntary.  If participants provide their email or other identifiable information, these will be held securely and destroyed after the results are finalised.

Through the survey, we are particularly interested to learn the:

  • Effect of COVID-19 on the problems and concerns raised in the social accountability work;
  • Effects of the pandemic and the response of social accountability in SRMNCAH;
  • Adaptations that have been made to social accountability strategies to respond to COVID-19 context;
  • The long-term effects of COVID on SA and the corresponding planning strategies.

We are aiming to identify a global, multidisciplinary representation and robust input into the survey and will be grateful if you can also share this announcement with colleagues in your organizations and networks, and amongst any other people who may be interested.

Please contact COP@... if you have any questions,

Thank you,
