The 2^nd International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA 2022) is just a few months away! Hosted by Africa CDC in collaboration with partners, this year’s conference will be held in person at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda from 13 -15 December 2022. Please save the date and visit the CPHIA 2022 website for more  information on registration.

Building on CPHIA 2021, this year’s conference will also serve as a catalyst to build more resilient health systems that allow African countries to better prepare for and manage emerging health threats while addressing long-standing infectious diseases.

Conference Tracks

CPHIA 2022 will have nine main plenary tracks:

• Track 1: Epidemiology, Diagnostics and Clinical Management of Emerging and Re-emerging High Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCID) in Africa
• Track 2: Increasing Local Production in Africa: Advocacy, Research and Development Capacity in Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Vaccine Manufacturing
• Track 3: Strengthening Health Systems for Equitable and Universal Health Coverage in Africa
• Track 4: Women in Health – From Recipients to Providers to Leaders
• Track 5: The COVID-19 Pandemic – Lessons Learned for Future Health Threats, Prevention, Preparedness and Response
• Track 6: Digitalization, Modelling and Analytics to Support an Effective Public Health Response, from Outbreaks to Pandemics and Beyond
• Track 7: Whole-of-Society – The Power of Engaging Civil Society, Community Actors, and the Private Sector
• Track 8: A Renewed Focus on Africa's Major Infectious Diseases: HIV, TB, Malaria and NTDs
• Track 9: Non-Communicable Diseases – A Growing Public Health Threat in Africa

 
Side Events & Abstracts
The conference offers a number of ways for your organization to participate. We’re happy to announce that submissions for Side Events and Abstracts are now open. The submission deadline for both is Friday, 30 September 2022 at 23:59hrs EAT.

Side Events
If you are interested in submitting a proposal to host a side event, please follow the application guidance on the CPHIA 2022 website at www.cphia2022.com/sideevents

Key dates:

• Submission deadline: Friday 30 September 2022 at 23:59hrs EAT.
• Acceptance: Applicants for side events will be notified of acceptances by Monday, 17 October 2022.
• Side event cost: USD $500/event (secures a venue, promotion to CPHIA 2022 registrants and IT support)

Abstracts
Abstracts will be accepted for all CPHIA 2022 conference tracks this year. If you are interested in making an abstract submission, please follow the application guidance on the CPHIA 2022 website at https://cphia2022.com/abstracts/
