End-of-Project Series

The USAID-funded SHOPS Plus project will host a four-part series of capstone webinars reflecting on global investments and field programs with USAID Missions.


The first three webinars will highlight achievements and lessons from the project over the past six years. They will cover areas that affect access to health services through the private sector: stewardship, financing, and health markets. In the final webinar, we will reflect on the project’s results, their implications, and what the future holds.

Galvanizing strategic public-private engagement

This webinar will present lessons learned to improve stewardship and support public-private engagement in the health system.



HEALTH FINANCING: June 23, 2021, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (EDT)


Improving access to products and services in the private sector: the critical role of health financing

This webinar will examine three models of financing private provision of services, and lessons learned from a variety of country contexts on removing financial barriers to access care from private health providers.



HEALTH MARKETS: June 30, 2021, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (EDT)


Supporting health markets: a conversation with SHOPS Plus thought leaders

This webinar will feature speakers who will share experience and lessons learned in supporting health markets to expand access to quality family planning, child health
, and HIV products and services.



REFLECTIONS: July 14, 2021, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (EDT)


Accelerating private sector engagement: What the future holds

Leaders from the SHOPS Plus will reflect on results, implications, and what the future holds.
