Introducing MSI Reproductive Choices

Bethan Cobley

Every day, our providers witness the power of reproductive choice. By supporting bodily autonomy and enabling women to live their lives on their own terms, reproductive choice is foundational to gender equality, breaking cycles of poverty and building a better, more sustainable world for everyone.

That’s why, this week, we are proud to launch our new ten-year strategy, MSI 2030: Your Body, Your Choice, Your Future, and our new name, MSI Reproductive Choices, putting choice front and centre of everything we do.

Our vision is bold but simple: By 2030, no abortion will be unsafe and every individual who wants access to contraception will have it.

We know that the challenges are huge. If we don't change course, the number of women with an unmet need for contraception is set to rise to 300 million by 2030. We must work together to transform access for the next generation.

Our MSI 2030 strategy commits us to being a better partner, to confronting these challenges with courage and innovation, and to closing the gap - once and for all - so that everyone is only one contact away from a safe service and no one is left behind.

You can read more about how we can make it happen, together, on our blog and MSI 2030 strategy page

You are warmly invited to hear more about MSI 2030 at tomorrow’s virtual launch event. We’ll be joined by the following inspiring experts to discuss some of the key challenges and opportunities that the next decade holds:

  • Hon. Dr Ruth Labode MP, Chair of Health Select Committee, Zimbabwe
  • Diene Keita, Deputy Executive Director, UNFPA
  • Beth Schlachter, Executive Director, FP2020
  • Dr Bela Ganatra, Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research, World Health Organisation
  • Banchiamlack Dessalegn, Regional Director, MSI
  • Debanjana Choudhuri, FRHS India

We believe that with this strategy, in partnership, we can deliver reproductive choice for all by 2030.

We invite you to join us in making this future a reality.

Simon Cooke, CEO of MSI Reproductive Choices
