Dear IBP Colleagues,

Please see the publication below based on the IBP Networks DEI and Decolonization Workshop held in October 2022.

The workshop, “Has the Decolonizing Global Health Agenda been Colonized?” was an opportunity to hear from local partners about the challenges around terminology, the historical context, and potential solutions moving forward. Close to 1000 people registered for the Webinar style Workshop and 320 of you attended live! The open chat allowed for excellent dialogue and communication between panelists and participants and among each other. A recording of the session can be found HERE.

This OpEd is a reflection of those discussions and provides some key issues to consider as well as some concrete actions moving forward. 

We hope this inspires more opportunities to create space for dialogue and amplify local voices, experience and evidence around these important topics.
