We are glad to announce the sixth and final technical discussion in the HCL Community Education Series organized by the Humanitarian Commodities Logistics Community of Practice. With support from USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), we will discuss the benefits of coordination for improving the availability of pharmaceuticals and other health products. We will share experiences from the field to understand the enabling factors for effective coordination and look at recent examples that led to tangible results and increased supply chain management (SCM) coordination in humanitarian and crisis settings.


We are delighted to be joined by Edith Muturi, health and nutrition advisor from Relief International (RI) in Yemen. Edith has worked in humanitarian settings for more than 8 years, implementing health and nutrition projects with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in different countries including Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, and Yemen. She has experience responding to high magnitude emergencies and has supported medical supply chains in emergency settings, including coordination with other NGOs, ministries of health, and UN agencies through clusters and consortia systems.
