Dear Colleagues

 

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar launching two new WHO guidance documents Maternal Mortality measurement: guidance to improve national reporting” and “Certification of deaths during pregnancy, childbirth, or the puerperium where confirmed or suspected COVID-19 is a cause of death”. These products were developed to support professionals collecting and analysing maternal mortality data in improving the quality and accuracy of the data.

 

The webinar will be held virtually via Zoom, on Thursday September 22, 2022, at 14:00 – 15:00 PM CEST (GMT +2). The webinar is hosted in English, and simultaneous interpretation in French and Spanish will be provided.

 

We will provide an overview of the guidance documents; their use and the recommendation they provide for improving maternal mortality measurement. The webinar will be presented by speakers from the WHO Headquarters, as well as researchers from the country case studies provided in the measurement guidance:
