Please join WHO, HRP and the IBP Network for a webinar this Thursday presenting photos and positive stories of health as it relates to comprehensive abortion care and post-abortion family planning, from countries in four WHO Regions.
With opening remarks from Pascale Allotey, Director of the WHO Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (SRH) and a discussion with experts and photographers from Moldova, Nepal, Pakistan and Sierra Leone, moderated by Vismita Gupta-Smith, WHO Head-Strategy, Planning & Coordination, Department of Communications, this will be a rich discussion on the importance of storytelling and approaches to communicating on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The WHO guidance is clear: abortion care is health care, and health is a human right. Even still, abortion remains a highly stigmatized issue. In order for safe, respectful and affordable abortion care to be accessible to all who need it, when they need it, there is a need for continuous advocacy for the right to comprehensive abortion care, and against stigma impacting those who seek and provide this health care.
Save the date and please spread the word using the attached flyer!
