Nandita Thatte
Dear IBP Colleagues,
Hope all are well. The IBP Covid-19 Task Team is reconvening on Wednesday November 2nd at 9hEST/14hCEST to take stock of emerging evidence and insights, the knowledge gaps that remain, and how family planning programs continue to adapt as we enter a new phase of the pandemic. We welcome input from the larger IBP Network to share your experiences and ideas. If you would like to contribute 1 slide to summarize your updates, please use the template attached.
Please see the original message below. We look forward to an interesting discussion next week!
With best wishes,
Nandita on behalf of the IBP Covid-19 and FP Task Team
Dear IBP FP Covid-9 Task Team Colleagues and larger IBP Network,
Hope you are well! Last year we decided to retire the IBP Covid-19 Task Team due to the abundance of Covid related content and the evolution of the pandemic. Since then, many partners have continued to embark on research and programmatic efforts to understand and respond to the challenges of family planning provision over the course of the pandemic. As a result, it was suggested that prior to ICFP (where there will be large focus on Covid-19), it would be worth reconvening the FP/COVID Task Team to take stock of emerging evidence and insights, the knowledge gaps that remain, and how family planning programs continue to adapt as we enter a new phase of the pandemic. A follow-up meeting will be held after ICFP to share updates and insights gained during the conference.
Objectives of the Reconvening Meeting
We invite you to join us for this meeting. For those wishing to share an update (including any planned presentations at ICFP), please send 1 PPT slide with this information (in language of your choice) to Morrisa Malkin (mmalkin@...) no later than October 28th. An example slide is attached. Simultaneous interpretation will not be available for the meeting, however French and Spanish speakers will be available to facilitate break out groups. Sincerely,
