You are invited to join this upcoming event hosted by the Interagency Gender Working Group’s (IGWG) Male Engagement Task Force (METF) on March 17, 2022, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. EDT (Washington, DC). Men and boys often delay seeking health services longer than women and girls, and sometimes forgo seeking care altogether. Seeking health services

at more advanced stages of illness and disease can have detrimental effects on the health and well-being of men and boys in the short and long term.

In this webinar, speakers will showcase learnings from global research and programming focused on men’s and boys’ help-seeking behaviors and health care access and use across health areas, including family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH); HIV/AIDS; maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH); and infectious diseases (such as COVID-19). Additionally, speakers will highlight how to address gender and power dynamics and other social and structural factors that influence how men and boys access and use health information, services, and products across settings. By the end of the webinar, participants will be more familiar with best, promising, and emerging practices to support men and boys as they seek and receive health care, and how to apply these practices to their work.

The webinar will be offered in English with simultaneous interpretation into French.
