Dear IBP Members,

We wanted to share with you that The International Medical Advisory Panel (IMAP)  is looking for new members to join the Panel for the next 3-year term. The IMAP is a body of medical scientists and experts in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and other relevant fields with a mandate to formulate and disseminate recommendations to the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and other stakeholders regarding best practices in SRHR, based on the best available evidence. The Panel works within the scope of IPPF’s Strategic Framework –in support of IPPF’s mission to lead a locally-owned, globally connected civil society movement that provides and enables services, and champions sexual and reproductive health and rights for all, especially the underserved.

We are looking for four new members to join the panel and replace those whose tenure came to an end. We are seeking individuals with medical and technical expertise in SRHR including service delivery, research, health systems, medical standards and quality of care. For the incoming members we are looking for individuals with demonstrated experience on one or more of the IMAP key areas of expertise including: Biomedical; clinical research, contraception, contraception, Maternal and child health, abortion, HIV/STIs, gender issues including sexual and gender-based violence, youth/comprehensive sexuality education, programme management, and humanitarian response. Additionally, we highly encourage and support young health professionals to apply.
