Mariela Rodriguez

Dear IBP Network,

Please see details below for an upcoming webinar, Boosting Immunization Reach through Private Sector Engagement: Considerations for COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout Now, and Routine Immunization in the Future.

As one of the most cost-effective public health interventions, immunization is critical to stopping the spread of preventable infectious diseases and keeping communities and countries healthy. The private sector can play an important role in immunization service delivery and partner with governments to ensure the efficient and equitable readiness and roll out of vaccines. Join experts from U.S. Agency for International Development’s MOMENTUM suite of awards, USAID India, implementing partners from South Africa and Kenya, the World Health Organization, and other immunization partners for a webinar discussing private sector engagement in immunization service delivery, considerations for COVID-19 vaccine roll out, and the strengthening of routine immunization. Experts will share evidence and good practices for engaging the private sector in COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization efforts and highlight examples from programs in India and South Africa.

In this webinar, experts will provide up-to-date evidence on key considerations for strengthening immunization programs, focusing on private sector engagement (PSE) in service delivery, both for COVID-19 vaccination and for restoring and strengthening routine immunization.

Attendees will hear about past evidence (pre-pandemic) and emerging good practices for engaging the private sector in COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization efforts, and specific examples of emerging PSE in immunization programs in India and South Africa.

A moderated Q&A session will follow with some of the experts about common challenges and risks associated with engaging the private sector in immunization, leading to a discussion on practical ways to engage the private sector in ongoing immunization efforts.
