Strengthening Health Resilience to Improve Voluntary Family Planning in Fragile Settings

Thursday, September 23

8:30-10:00 DC | 12:30-14:00 Bamako | 15:30-17:00 Nairobi

More than half of all maternal and child deaths occur in countries affected by conflict, disasters, weak governance and institutions, population displacements, and other acute and chronic crises. In these settings, increased illness and death result from disruptions to basic health services and systems.

To acknowledge World Contraception Day, join MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience for a webinar to explore approaches to improving access to and quality of voluntary family planning services in fragile settings. From self-care and respectful care to male engagement and supply chain management, traditional development approaches need adaptations and refinements to strengthen the health resilience of individuals, households, communities, and the broader health system to minimize the impact of shocks and stresses.
