The following training module on contraceptive methods has now been added to the Training Resource Package for Family Planning (TRP):
Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Devices (LNG-IUDs).
The module is designed for the providers in developing countries who most often are tasked with providing FP services—primarily nurses and nurse-midwives, as well as primary care physicians—and assumes trainees will have a minimum level
of clinical training.
TRP is a comprehensive set of materials designed to support up-to-date training on family planning and reproductive health. The TRP was developed using evidence-based technical information from World Health Organization (WHO) publications, and is led by
WHO, USAID and UNFPA.
We encourage you to disseminate this new module widely within your networks and during upcoming training activities.
Please note that the
Contraceptive Implants module has been updated to reflect the latest information from manufacturers regarding insertion and removal of implants.
